U16s Newcastle Jets host the prestigious Sydney City Hakoah in the second last game of the first half of the 2022 season! Having won the first 10 consecutive fixtures of the season but having conceded two draws in the past two outings, the Jets need to return to their winning ways against Hakoah. The Sydney team are in 7th spot on the points table having won 5 matches to the Jets who remain in 1st spot with 10 wins from 12 matches. The key in this game will be the Jet’s ability to demonstrate composure and a passing game at the same level as in the first 10 fixtures of the season.
U18s Newcastle Jets, also in equal 1st spot on the table host a Hakoah team in 11th position with 6 defeats from 12 fixtures. The game is there for the Jets to win but they will have to work for it.
U15s Newcastle Jets who are currently 2nd on the points table take on a Hakoah outfit in 12th position and 7 defeats from 12 matches. The Jets have the best attack in the competition with 42 goals scored compared to the goal shy Hakoah team who have only managed 10 goals in the same amount of matches!
U14s Newcastle Jets are 6th on the ladder and will be facing a Hakoah team in 10th position but only two points behind the Novocastrians. The Newcastle team will need to play well to ensure the gain the 3 points if they want to narrow the 10 point gap between themselves and the league leaders.
Finally, the U13s Newcastle Jets who are in 1st spot on the ladder will face a 3rd placed Hakoah team which is only 5 points behind and with a game in hand. This will be an interesting battle between one of the highest scoring teams of the competition against a team with the best defense!
