Hamilton Olympic have advanced through to the 3rd Round of the FFA Cup competition after a comfortable 6-0 victory over Mayfield Seniors at Arthur Edden Oval on Saturday evening.

On a beautiful evening, a first half double to ex- Kiwi international Leo Bertos, which included a penalty after Rhys Cooper was upended in the box, saw Olympic take a 2 – 0 lead at the break.

Substitutes Patrick Brown, 2, and Ben Koina 1, took the score to 5-0, before a lovely finish by hard working mid- fielder Daniel Bird saw the final score end at 6-0.

A first half skirmish saw Olympic mid-fielder Simon Mooney and a Mayfield player receive their marching orders. Mayfield never stopped trying right till the final whistle.
