Darling Street Oval was certainly a busy place last week, with the NCC staff
and their contractors busy getting the foundations ready for the erection of
the 4 new light poles and associated electrical works, while Trent and his
staff from Turfspec began the task of straightening the hill at the northern
end of the ground in preparation for the eventual moving of the playing
field, and also the installation of a complete new drainage system on the
playing surface.
All work is on track to be completed by the end of October, which would then
give the surface plenty of time for readiness for the 2019 football season.
