Newcastle Olympic establishes its own Newcastle Olympic Football Academy

55618317_1061938763993035_5782797448267169792_n

Newcastle Olympic wishes to announce the establishment of the Newcastle Olympic Football Academy (NOFA). The Academy (NOFA) will serve the needs of individual players regardless of age, team, or development phase. The training will be based on developing attributes that are consistent with NOFC’s philosophy and ethos regarding technical ability, work ethic, and personal character.

NOFA will provide various services including a skill enhancement program (SEP) and a pathway development program (PDP).

At this point, some of you will have received notification from Northern NSW Football that your son or daughter has been included in their Talent Support Program (TSP).

In an effort to provide supplementary group training to our remaining players, we have developed a club-based Pathway Development Program. Similar to the Northern NSW TSP, our program will be for 10-weeks and will be offered to all SAP/NET/NPL players in the 10-15 years age groups and WPL players in the 14-17 years age groups. Sessions will be on Monday afternoons/evenings (at Darling St Oval).

The training sessions will be undertaken by senior NOFC staff coaches, and there will be guest coaches (from without the club) at selected times throughout the program.

The Academy (NOFA) will also provide supplementary training to younger age groups (6-9s) through our Skill Enhancement Program (SEP), and our 16s age group will be able to undertake supplementary training with the senior teams (mainly 18s) on a rotation basis.

Furthermore, NOFA will run a summer program for SAP age players (9-12s) from within and without the club.

If your child/player would like to undertake the first 10-week PDP cycle, please contact me so that I can provide further information regarding logistics and payment details. Attached to this letter is a brief outline of the Newcastle Olympic Football Academy’s PDP, SEP and Summer program.

Regards,

Alex Tagaroulias                                                                                                                     Technical Director, NOFC alex.tagaroulias@nofc.com.au                                                           0497-897 716

82979939_1304760143044228_1994955327660883968_n

The Annual NOFC Summer Coaching Clinic was completed today. Close to 80 dedicated footballers from within the Hunter Region had a most enjoyable time during the 4 Day Clinic, fine tuning their football skills before the start of a new season, and at the same time, meeting new friends.

The Club appreciate the support from the many families who enrolled their child at the Clinic. A special thanks to all our dedicated coaches, led by the Clinic Co-ordinator, Reece Fellas, who all did such a wonderful job.
The coaches were Reece Fellas, Paul DeVitis, Mason Palmieri, Blair Newham, Daniel Ball McKinnon, Elliot Paksec, Andrew Paksec and Cooper Hunt.

A reminder, the Club will also be holding their Annual Winter Coaching Clinic in the first week of the July School Holidays, (Monday 6th July, to Friday, 10th July, 2020) at THE PARC Howzat, Union Street, Cooks Hill.

Details will be advertised on our Social media from May, 2020.
